IPTV Apple TV

IPTV on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad: set up Strong IPTV the Apple way

Apple TV 4K is one of the smoothest ways to watch Strong IPTV, and iPhone and iPad make great second screens. Install a player from the App Store, sign in, and switch on two settings that make live sports look right.

Supported Apple devices

Every current Apple screen can run Strong IPTV

Apple TV 4K

Our favorite Apple option: fast, great picture handling and Ethernet on the higher-storage model.

Apple TV HD

Still works well for HD channels; menus are a little slower than on 4K models.

iPhone & iPad

Perfect for the kitchen, bedroom or travel — and for AirPlaying to a TV when you need to.

Mac

Desktop players and compatible web players work on macOS for a quick watch at your desk.

Install

Set up in four steps

  1. Open the App Store

On the Apple TV, iPhone or iPad you’ll watch on.

  2. Get the recommended player

Several players are free to try; some offer optional upgrades sold by the app developer.

  3. Sign in

Enter your login. On Apple TV, the keyboard that pops up on your iPhone makes typing quick.

  4. Tune Apple TV

Turn on Match Content (below) so sports and movies play at the right frame rate.

Settings → Video and Audio

Setting Choose Why
Match Dynamic Range On HD channels show in standard range instead of washed-out fake HDR.
Match Frame Rate On Sports and movies play at their native rate — smoother motion, no judder.
Format 4K SDR (on a 4K TV) Lets Match Content switch modes only when a stream needs it.
Audio format Auto Passes surround sound through when your speakers support it.

AirPlay or the Apple TV app?

AirPlay from iPhone

  • Quick for one show
  • Uses your phone’s battery
  • Phone tied up while watching

App on Apple TV

  • Smoothest playback
  • Full TV guide and favorites
  • Phone stays free

Using it across the family

You can add your login to the player on each Apple device in your home. How many can stream at once depends on your plan’s connection allowance — ask us before you set up several screens.
